This project constitutes of the work undertaken by Mohamad Syazli Fathi as part of the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme run by the Civil and Building Engineering Department at Loughborough University, UK. The PhD programme is primarily funded by the Malaysian Government. Syazli's sponsoring department for the 3-year duration of this research is Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, who is the one of the leading Engineering and Technology university in Malaysia
